TACO has reduced the ground plane size of our new dual frequency 2.4 & 5.8 GHz circularly polarized DH2412-5813-SMAF counter drone antenna.  This latest model in our BlackOut series is our most compact to date, while still maintaining a high gain signal that is able to transmit maximum energy in one direction.  These antennas are the ideal solution for drone defense, counter-drone, anti-drone, elevator shafts and tunnels, mesh networks, WiMax, ISM, VOIP, video surveillance, downtown corridors, parking lots, wireless security cameras and warehousing.

Helical Advantages in Countering Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) 

Most drones have linearly polarized (LP) antennas, so when the controller and counter drone antenna are LP (eg. stick, Yagi, or Log Periodic), any pitch or roll will often misalign their signals. The signal strength of LP to LP antennas when perpendicular loses 20dB.

With TACO’s helical circularly polarized (CP) antenna on drone defense, the maximum signal loss with the drone’s LP antenna is only 3 dB at any orientation, making the connection consistently much stronger.

Our CP helicals perform FAR better to deliver max signal strength:
