TACO Antenna is a proud division of WADE Antenna Inc., a Canadian manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence in antenna and telecommunication tower design and manufacturing.
Originally established in New York State in 1934, Technical Appliance Corporation (TACO) earned global recognition for its high-performance VHF and UHF antennas, solutions trusted in aviation, naval, and defense communications for decades. TACO’s antennas became a staple in civil and military applications and are known for their reliability in critical environments.
In the early 2000s, WADE Antenna, founded in 1952 and recognized for its tower and broadcast solutions, acquired the TACO Antenna brand and consolidated operations in Brantford, Ontario. This acquisition brought together two trusted names in communications infrastructure, expanding WADE’s reach into military and aerospace markets while preserving the TACO brand’s integrity and legacy.
Today, TACO Antenna operates as a specialized division within WADE Antenna Inc., focused exclusively on delivering rugged, mission-critical antenna solutions to defense, aerospace, security, and government sectors around the world.
For nearly a century, TACO has stood for reliability, durability, and performance, a tradition that continues through WADE’s leadership and commitment to Canadian manufacturing excellence.
